PSychotherapeutic counselling for mothers & women
Is it our birthright to suffer? The lack of investment in women’s medical health means we endure more pain, where the shapes of objects and places, equipment, and temperatures aren’t designed for women, where we are conditioned to care for if not please others from a young age. Where our anger is condemned and we have it ‘equal’ are equivocated by working harder on ourselves and doing more to be empowered and ‘lean in’ and play into patriarchal structures of ‘power over’ others in a losing game. I see you. I work with women who want to explore their big feelings, their identities, life changes, relationships, and so on.
Some of the themes I work with:
Anxiety // Anger //
Body acceptance // Self image
Cancer // Illness // Peri-Menopause
Confidence // Depression // Grief // Infertility
Identity // Family history // Family dynamics
Neurodivergence // Parenting // Post Partum
Relationships // Self-esteem
Separation // Stress // Workplace issues
Your time and energy are precious and rare!
By creating a consistent, protected space just for you for therapy, here’s what you can expect from me:
A safe and nurturing space where you can securely open up, feel supported, and unconditionally accepted
Active listening and understanding: I am attentive to details and words and do not sit back passively but ensure I understand I accurately reflect back your unique experiences, emotions, and challenges
Holistic perspective: I consider the interconnectedness of your mind, body, and emotions and the overall society and cultural context
Meaning-making: Together, we will make meaning of your life experiences, helping you find deeper understanding and insight
Empowerment: You are the expert of your own life; we draw from your knowledge and apply different frameworks to navigate life's challenges and build your capacity to make decisions and activate change
By working together with these expectations in mind, we can create a therapeutic journey that promotes healing, growth, and a sense of stability in your life.
“I’ve come back into myself. I am reminded that I’m in charge of my own destiny.”
